The family-owned company Menarini Pharma was founded in 1886 in Naples. The company headquarters were relocated to Florence in 1915, where they are still located today. Dr. Alberto Aleotti is a well-known personality even outside business circles and is one of the pioneers of the Italian pharmaceutical industry. Among other things, he has been president of the IFPMA (International Federation of Pharmaceutical Manufacturers Associations).
Menarini is today represented internationally with leading products in the fields of cardiovascular, oncology, pain therapy, asthma and infectiology.
Around 13,000 employees work for the company group worldwide, 800 of them in research and development.
Pronounced investments in research and development have also created sufficient potential for new, innovative products in the coming years. Today the company operates throughout the EU, in Switzerland, Russia, Central and South America, Asia, Africa and the Middle East.
